~Audi~

German auto-manufacturer company Audi was born in Ingolstadt, Bavaria in 1969, one of the youngest
car manufacturers on this website. Founded by August Horch, Audi has a
reputation for producing luxurious sedans and SUVs taking comfort and quality control into
mind, resulting in an appealing product for the customer. Along with its Fellow
German manufacturers BMW and Mercedes-Benz, Audi is undoubtebly among the best selling
automobile brands in the world.

~Heritage~

The name Audi comes from the Latin translation of the founder’s surname. Horch means
“listen” in German, hence making it “Audi” in Latin. Furthermore, Audi’s logo features 4
entwined rings, representing the four father companies that merged together to create Audi’s
parent company Auto Union. In addition its German slogan”Vorsprung durch
Technik” translates to “Being ahead through technology” and rather unsurprsingly, all of Audi’s
modern cars feature ground-breaking software and computer hardware that work
together to make the car ultimately more efficient. Lastly, Audi was one of the
pioneers of car safety and has been conducting crash tests for over 75 years now.

~Racing~

Audi has achieved success in numerous important motorsport events, such as rallying, Touring,
Le Mans, and GT racing. In 2019 so far they have completed 565 races and have
achieved 45 podiums. Currently, Audi is involved in Formula E, Gt3, DTM, and
WTCR. Their fastest cars include Audi R8 LMS GT2 and the Formula E range breaking the
speed barriers and stretching limits.
