~Tesla Motors~

The youngest company of the twelve, the roots of Tesla Inc. were planted by Martin Eberhard
and Marc Tarpenning and was named after Serbian-American inventor Nikola
Tesla. Tesla Motors was the first company in history to release an electric car with a
jaw-dropping 245 miles of range per charge, a number that was unprecedented for a
production electric car. Released in 2008 the “Roadster”, as it was called, could accelerate from
0 to 60mph in less than 4 seconds! Furthermore, since the car is electric it produces
no tail pipe emissions, making it completely environmentally friendly while on the road.

~Heritage~

The CEO of Tesla Motors is now PayPal cofounder Elon Musk. Who has revolutionised the
company by entering into the luxury comfort vehicle range. Their first car in this luxury range
was the beautiful Model S, which received high acclaim from car enthusiasts and
critics, with a range if up to 300 miles per charge and with an energy rating equivalent
to above 135 miles per gallon of fuel! Its automotive performance and stylistic
features are comparable to well established BMW and Mercedes sedans, as well as
its monstrous acceleration of just above 3 seconds due to its large torque. As well as the
Model S, Tesla has released the Model X, a family SUV and the new but much cheaper
Model 3 and Model Y, a more suitable option for the majority of people.

~New Releases~

In 2020, Tesla’s newest model will be rolling of the production line: the $250 000 Roadster
version 2, capable of going above 25o mph and also having a range of above 300
miles, which will surely break all limits and bring us to the realisation about the true
capability of electric-motor technology.
